Former President Donald Trump made a noteworthy observation regarding the timing of his indictment and the emergence of a document linking then-Vice President Joe Biden to a $5 million bribery scheme. Trump, who appeared in court for 37 federal charges related to a documents case, voiced his thoughts at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Trump brought attention to the FD-1023 document, which was acquired and reviewed by Republicans on the House Oversight Committee on the same day he was indicted. This document allegedly implicates Biden in a bribery scheme with Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Trump claimed, “It’s also no coincidence these charges against me came down the very same day evidence revealed Joe Biden took a $5 million bribe from Ukraine.” He criticized the FBI and the Justice Department for focusing more on his indictment rather than the bribery allegations against Biden.
Furthermore, Trump mentioned comments made by Senator Chuck Grassley, who stated that “an FBI informant document possesses redacted references to a foreign national possessing 15 audio recordings of phone calls between himself and Hunter Biden and two audio recordings of phone calls between himself and then-Vice President Joe Biden.” During his speech, Trump insinuated that his indictment was a deliberate distraction from the alleged corruption involving Biden. He claimed that the Burisma executive who supposedly paid the bribe holds recordings of conversations with Biden.
Trump asserted, “Let’s go out and let’s indict President Trump so they don’t talk about the $5 million bribe.” He further added, “Just yesterday, Senator Grassley revealed that the Burisma executive who allegedly paid the bribe reportedly has Crooked Joe on tape.” Trump urged his fellow Republicans to take a tougher stance.
