While the Biden administration approved the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, the delivery is pending, and pilots require training to operate the warplanes. The United States has already provided two Patriot anti-aircraft systems, with Raytheon expected to send five more by the end of the next year.
Regarding the recent attacks on Odesa, Ukraine claimed that the Transfiguration Orthodox Christian cathedral suffered severe damage. Russia, however, denied targeting the church and suggested that the damage might have been caused by a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile. Despite this, President Zelensky vowed to retaliate for the cathedral’s destruction and condemned attacks on peaceful cities and residential areas.
