Spotlight on Trump’s Indictment Overshadows Allegations Against Biden: A Biased Media Approach?

The US media landscape has raised concerns about the objectivity of ABC, CBS, and NBC due to a recent pattern in their coverage. Media Research Center NewsBusters’ analysis shows that these networks devoted a significant 291 minutes to discussing former President Donald Trump’s indictment between June 8 and June 12. Surprisingly, allegations involving President Joe Biden’s connection to Burisma Holdings received little attention during the same period.

The Allegations against Biden

Allegations against Biden, initially reported by Fox News Digital, claim that he received $5 million from a Burisma Holdings executive. These accusations were based on information provided to the FBI by a confidential source in June 2020. Hunter Biden, the president’s son, was also implicated, allegedly receiving $50,000 per month while serving on Burisma’s board.

All Eyes on Trump

Despite the gravity of these allegations against a sitting president, the major networks chose to focus on Trump’s indictment. George Stephanopoulous, co-anchor of “Good Morning America,” framed this as a test of American justice’s fundamental principle that no one is above the law. Norah O’Donnell, anchor of “CBS Evening News,” highlighted the historic significance of Trump’s indictment, emphasizing its extensive and detailed nature. Lester Holt, anchor of “NBC Nightly News,” described the charges against Trump as “stunning,” with a particular emphasis on the classified documents allegedly found in Trump’s possession at Mar-a-Lago.

A Disgraceful Display?

L. Brent Bozell, founder and president of Media Research Center, strongly criticized ABC, CBS, and NBC for their disgraceful behavior. He condemned their failure to cover the Biden allegations and accused them of creating scandals to distract from one candidate while protecting another. Bozell labeled their approach a “farce.”

The nation eagerly waits for a response from ABC, CBS, and NBC. Will they rectify their reporting by addressing the Biden allegations, or will they continue with their current narrative? The public is curious to see how this unfolds.
