Several Children Critically Injured in Idaho Summer Camp Bus Accident

Several children sustained critical injuries in a bus accident while being transported for a YMCA summer camp program in Idaho. The incident occurred on State Highway 55 near milepost 84 in Boise County at approximately 3 p.m. local time.

Insights into the Accident
The school bus, carrying 30 individuals aged between 13 and 18 years old from the Treasure Valley YMCA, was involved in the crash. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find 11 injured passengers, with seven in critical condition and four in noncritical condition. As a precautionary measure, all the children on the bus were taken to local hospitals by air or ground ambulance.

Investigation Underway
The cause of the accident is currently unknown, and authorities are actively investigating the incident. Due to the ongoing investigation, the highway in the vicinity of the accident has been closed, and drivers are advised to take alternative routes.
