Rep. Harriet Hageman Speaks Out Against Appointment of U.S. Prosecutor in Hunter Biden Investigation

In a recent interview with Breitbart News, Representative Harriet Hageman (R-WY) expressed her dissatisfaction with the decision to appoint U.S. prosecutor David Weiss as special counsel in the Hunter Biden investigation. Hageman referred to this appointment as a prime example of the corruption she believes exists within the Biden administration. She criticized the presence of long-standing bureaucrats, whom she considers part of the “deep state” within the administration, and cited Weiss’s previous involvement in granting Hunter Biden a favorable plea deal as evidence of corruption.

Weiss had previously sought to secure immunity for Hunter Biden against future legal action, but this request was met with skepticism from a judge. Hageman questioned Weiss’s prolonged delay in pursuing tax-related charges against Hunter Biden and suggested that his appointment may be a deliberate distraction tactic. She insinuated that it could be an attempt to divert attention from the news that House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) planned to subpoena members of the Biden family to testify before his committee.

Highlighting the significance of the upcoming election, Hageman stressed the need for Republicans to retain control of the House, Senate, and presidency. She cautioned that if Democrats regain power, they would likely cease investigations into the Biden family. Hageman went on to claim that the appointment of Weiss, along with other actions taken by the administration, are part of a broader effort to conceal the activities of what she referred to as the “Biden crime family.”

Hageman concluded by emphasizing the importance of a fair justice system and expressing her belief that the country is currently witnessing a two-tiered system where political elites are exempt from accountability. She criticized the administration’s focus on issues like climate change and underscored the significance of uncovering corruption and injustice within the government.
